It is hard to talk about technology today without kicking off a debate with philosophical implications (self driving cars, anyone?). While the modern technology conversation can get oversaturated, it plays a huge role in the fashion industry. I find an extremely positive aspect to it: the days when only the elite fashion houses could set the trends are over--and now, thanks to the internet and social media, smaller fashion designers can set trends too! The best part? We all get to be a part of the trend-setting conversation. With that said, here are my 5 bold picks for fall trends! 1. Suede: It transitions to chilly fall days perfectly and instantly makes your garment look and feel luxe. Whether on a dress, shoes or bag, suede will be a huge trend this season. My Dove Dress (left) can be dressed up or down--it’s effortlessly timeless! The Montana Cardigan and Emma Skirt (right) pair beautifully together for a cozy and chic ensemble. 2. Mix and Match Looks: Some may be hesitant to try this trend, but when done right it can be so chic. Mixing prints is one of my favorite looks right now -- It makes an instantly bold fashion statement! I love the big striped Papua Vest with my classic Uno Pant for a trendy, everyday look. 3. Shoulder Cut Outs: A new spin on the off-the-shoulder look. I love shoulder cut outs because they compliment a flattering part of a woman’s body. They’re delicate, tailored and will sure to stand out amongst the crowd. The Eagle Dress (top) is an edgy take on shoulder cut-outs -- I just love the silhouette and unique two-tone fabric. My classic Lena Dress (bottom) now comes in black, making it your new go-to dress this fall
4. Black + White Geo: It's back to minimalism with the Black + White Geo print trend. I think there’s a beauty in the simplicity of the geometric lines. Try my Grid Montana Cardigan paired with the Mabelle Pants (top) for an ultra-sleek look. Be prepared to turn heads because pinstripes are in full swing this season. My Elm Top’s (bottom) flattering fit will surely become your new favorite top. 5. Oversized Chic: You can have the best of both worlds: oversized and figure flattering! I always love a good oversized piece, but this season I predict a bit more fit to the look. My Nancy Dress ties at the waist, making it incredibly figure flattering with its eye catching draping.
